Air Cleaner

REMOVAL
- Disconnect all hoses and tubes.
- Remove screws as necessary to remove air cleaner lid.
- Remove air filter element.

INSPECTION
Visually inspect filter element, air cleaner cover and body for signs of dust or dirt leaking through holes in filter media or past the seals. Place a light behind the filter element and check. Even the smallest hole is cause for replacement. Discoloration is not cause for replacement. Also check the element for deformed seals, charred or brittle spots.

INSTALLATION
- Wipe all inside surfaces of the air cleaner body and cover, and install the filter element.
- Install air cleaner cover and screws and tighten 1.4-2.5 Nm (12-22 in lb).
- Connect the vacuum lines that were disconnected during removal of the air cleaner lid.
