Clearing Memory Codes
HOW TO CLEAR CODES IN MEMORY
Using Analog VOM:
1. Connect B ( "GN/BK" ) and C ( "BK" ) at Test Connector with jumper wire.
2. Key ON.
3. Output service codes using the analog VOM.
4. After first code is repeated, depress brake pedal 10 times at intervals of less than one (1) second.
5. Key OFF.
6. Disconnect the jumper wire between B and C at Test Connector.
Using Super Star II:
1. Connect Super Star II to Test Connector with Adapter 007-00099.
2. Key ON.
3. Output service codes using Super Star II.
4. After first code is repeated, depress brake pedal 10 times at intervals of less than one (1) second.
5. Key OFF.
6. Disconnect Super Star II from Test Connector.
NOTE:
1. Warning light illuminates while performing memory cancel.
2. After memory cancel, ABS Control Module performs self-diagnosis.
3. Memory is not canceled by disconnecting the battery.
4. Memory codes cannot be canceled if the following occur:
- Intervals for depressing the brake pedal exceed one (1) second.
- Stoplamp bulb or switch has malfunctioned.
5. Be sure to remove jumper wire from Test Connector after all checks and repairs are made.
