LIGHT TRUCK: 1991 AEROSTAR, EXPLORER, RANGER
ISSUE: The Idle Adjust Procedures in the 1991 Engine/Emissions Diagnosis Shop Manual have been revised to cover applications that do not have the sludge tolerant throttle body. These are 1991 Aerostar, Explorer, and Ranger trucks with 4.0L engines. The 3.0L Probe has a sludge tolerant throttle body.
ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the revised procedures.
NOTE: A SLUDGE TOLERANT THROTTLE BODY IS IDENTIFIED BY A 91TF-AA PREFIX AND SUFFIX IN THE PART NUMBER.
