Removal and Replacement

Idle Speed Control Bypass Air Control Valve Replacement:





1. Remove the throttle linkage cover.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Idle Speed Control Bypass Air (ISC-BPA) valve.

3. Remove the ISC-BPA retaining hardware, then remove the valve.
4. Clean the valve mating surfaces being careful not to damage the the mating surfaces or drop material into the throttle body.

5. Install the valve, using a new gasket.
6. Install the retaining hardware, torquing to 71-97 lbs. in. (8-11 N-m).
7. Connect the ISC-BPA valve connector, then install the throttle linkage cover.
