Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Loosen the parking brake cable housing adjustment nut, then remove the cable housing from the bracket and the parking brake lever.
3. Remove the banjo bolt attaching the brake flex hose to the caliper.
4. Remove two copper washers from the banjo fitting, then discard washers.
5. Remove lower caliper retaining bolt.
6. Pivot the caliper off the disc pads, then slide caliper off the guide pin.
INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the guide pin bushings with High Temperature Grease part No. D7AZ-19590-A or equivalent.
2. Install the caliper onto the guide pin, then pivot caliper over disc pads.
3. Install lower caliper retaining bolt, then torque bolt to 12-17 ft. lbs.
4. Install two new copper washers and the banjo bolt on the brake flex hose banjo fitting.
5. Position the flex hose on the caliper. Torque banjo bolt to 16-20 ft. lbs.
6. Position the parking brake cable into the parking brake lever and bracket.
7. Adjust the parking brake cable so there is no clearance between the cable end and the parking brake lever.
8. Torque the parking brake cable locknut to 14-21 ft. lbs.
9. Install wheel and tire assembly.
