Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove brake hose to caliper attaching bolt.
4. Remove two copper washers and discard.
5. Remove caliper attaching bolts.
6. Pivot caliper off brake pads and slide caliper off guide pin.
7. Remove guide pin bushing dust boots and push out caliper guide pin bushing.
8. Using high temperature grease D7AZ-19590-A or equivalent, lubricate guide pin bushings.

INSTALLATION

1. Install guide pin bushings in caliper.
2. Install guide pin bushing dust boots.
3. Position caliper onto guide pin and pivot caliper onto brake pads.
4. Install caliper mounting bolt and torque to specification.
5. Install two copper washers and brake hose attaching hose. Torque brake hose attaching bolt to specification.
6. Perform front brake bleeding procedures, and install wheel and tire assembly.
