Front Door Window Motor








Window Motor, Power Front Door

Removal
1. Open door and raise the window to the full-up if possible.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove door trim panel and watershield. Interior Moulding / Trim.
4. Check inside the door to make sure that electrical wires are not in-line of holes to be drilled Using a 1/2-inch drill bit, drill three 1/2-inch diameter holes in door inner panel. Use drill dimples in door panel to locate holes.

WARNING PRIOR TO MOTOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL, MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE REGULATOR ARM IS IN A FIXED POSITION position,TO PREVENT COUNTERBALANCE SPRING UNWIND.

5. Remove the three window motor mounting bolts.
6. Push motor toward outside sheet metal to disengage the motor assembly from the regulator gear. (If window is down, push against the motor with a screwdriver through the drilled access holes.) After motor is disengaged, pull window up.
7. Remove motor from inside door.






Installation
1. Position the motor and drive to the regulator and install the three screws 8 nug-not tight.
2. Install plug button in lower access hole drilled into door and paint body color. This hole will not be covered up by the door trim panel. Install two pieces of Pressure Sensitive Waterproof Tape D6AZ-19627-A or equivalent body tape approximately 25.4mm (1 inch) square to seal upper access holes covered by door trim panel.
3. Connect the motor wires at the connector and cycle the glass to ensure gear engagement. After the gears are engaged, tighten the three motor and drive retaining screws to 5.6-9.6 N m (50-84 lb-in).
4. Install watershield door trim panel and armrest. Interior Moulding / Trim.
5. Connect battery ground cable.
6. Check window for proper operation.

NOTE Verify that all drain holes at bottom of doors are open to prevent water accumulation over motors.
