Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Throttle Body:

REMOVAL

1. Remove intake air boot and throttle cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors at Throttle Position Sensor and Air Bypass Valve.
3. Disconnect coolant bypass hoses and vacuum lines.
4. Disconnect PCV hoses.
5. Remove four throttle body retaining bolts and remove throttle body.


INSTALLATION

1. Clean and inspect mounting surfaces.
2. Position new throttle body gasket.
3. Position throttle body and install four retaining bolts. Tighten to 11-17 lb. ft. (15-23 N-m).
4. Connect PCV hoses
5. Connect electrical connectors at Throttle Position Sensor and Air Bypass Valve.
6. Install throttle cable and air intake boot.
