Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection

NOTE: The fuel pressure regulator is factory adjusted. Do not attempt to reset the fuel pressure by adjusting it. Rich or lean conditions may be caused by dirt, water, or other foreign material in the fuel charging system

1. Disconnect the electrical connector on the inertia switch located on the LH side of the luggage compartment.
2. Crank the engine for 15 seconds to reduce system pressure.
3. Disconnect the fuel supply line at the throttle body. Connect a fuel pressure gauge with a range of at least 0-60 psi.
4. Connect the inertia switch in the luggage compartment.
5. START the engine and check the fuel system pressure. Then accelerate the engine. Pressure should remain stable throughout acceleration.
6. Disconnect electrical connector to inertia switch.
7. Crank the engine for 15 seconds.
8. Install original fuel line.
9. Connect the inertia switch.
10. START the engine and check for leaks.
