Turbo Boost Pressure


1. Inspection should be conducted under cool engine conditions.

Vacuum And Pressure Tester Connection:





2. Disconnect the air hose from the [1][2]turbo boost control solenoid valve at the compressor housing on the turbocharger assembly and connect vacuum and pressure tester.

3. START the engine and allow it to warm up to normal operating temperature.
4. Increase the engine speed to 4,000 rpm and check that the boost pressure is within specification.
Specification: Any positive pressure above 0 kPa (O psi).

5. Disconnect vacuum and pressure tester and reconnect the air hose.
NOTE: To prevent the hoses from becoming disconnected due to boost pressure, be sure to attach them securely with the spring clamps.
