Component Tests

Compressor Wheel Assembly:

COMPRESSOR WHEEL ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
1. Remove the turbocharger assembly from the vehicle.
2. Check that the wheel assembly turns smoothly. If there is excessive load or noise, replace the turbocharger assembly.

Turbine Wheel Assembly:

TURBINE WHEEL ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
1. Remove the turbocharger assembly from the vehicle.

2. Check that the wheel does not touch the housing.
3. If the wheel touches the housing, replace the turbocharger assembly.

Oil Passage:

OIL PASSAGE INSPECTION
1. Remove the oil return line.
2. Check that carbonized oil is not blocking the oil passage in the turbocharger assembly or the oil pipe return line.
3. If the oil passage in turbocharger or return line is blocked or restricted, replace the turbocharger and oil return line assembly.
