Front Limit Switch

REMOVAL
1. Unbuckle the shoulder belt from the carrier.






2. Remove the "A-B" pillar trim.
3. Cycle the carrier to the "B" pillar (retracted position).
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.






5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the front limit switch.
6. Remove the mounting bolt.






7. Remove the screw which attaches the front limit switch to the track.






8. Slide the front limit switch off the track.

INSTALLATION
1. Slide the front limit switch onto the track.
2. Install the track-to-switch screw.
3. Install the mounting bolt and tighten it to 8-12 Nm (6-8 ft lbs).
4. Connect the electrical connector.

NOTE: Pulling off the "A" pillar moulding near the instrument panel eases "A-B" pillar trim installation.

5. Install the "A-B" pillar trim.
6. Buckle the shoulder belt to the carrier.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
8. Check the passive restraint system for proper operation.
