ISSUE: The Removal and Installation procedures for the 1989 Mustang Instrument Cluster Finish Panel are not included in the Shop Manual Section 45-61.

ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the Removal and Installation procedures.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Continued)


Cluster Finish Panel
Removal

1. Remove two screws and instrument panel steering column cover.

2. Remove two screws and finish panel lower shroud.

3. Remove switches from RH and LH side of cluster finish panel. See Section 32-02.

4. Remove four screws and the upper half of the steering column shroud. See Section 13-06.

5. Remove the two upper and three lower screws retaining the cluster finish panel.

6. Remove the cluster finish panel.


Installation

1. Position cluster finish panel on instrument panel.

2. Install two upper screws and three lower screws.

3. Install upper half of steering column shroud and four screws.

4. Connect wiring and install switches on RH and LH side of cluster finish panel.

5. Install lower shroud and two screws.

6. Install instrument panel steering column cover and two screws.
