FORD: 1988 CROWN VICTORIA

LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1988 GRAND MARQUIS

ISSUE: The circuit protection for the A/C clutch and horn has been revised on vehicles built after 9/15/87. The A/C clutch circuit was moved from fuse position 6 to 17. The horn circuit was moved from fuse position 17 to 16.

ACTION: If service is required on vehicles built after 9/15/87, refer to the revised fuse positions. This information should be inserted in your 1988 Car Shop Manual, Volume A, Section 34-50-2 and page 19 of your 1988 Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual.
