Testing the power window master switch should be performed with the switch removed from the vehicle. Use a self-powered test lamp or an ohmmeter.

2. With all switches in the NEUTRAL position, terminals 4 through 11 should have continuity to terminal 3.
3. Push all four window switches forward and hold in that position (toward front of vehicle when in installed position).
Terminals 5, 7, 9 and 11 should lose continuity to terminal 3.
4. Push all four window switches rearward and hold in that position (toward rear of vehicle when in installed position).
Terminals 4, 6, 8 and 10 should lose continuity to terminal 3.

With all switches in the NEUTRAL position, only terminal 1 should have continuity to terminal 2.
6. Push all four switches forward and hold in that position.
Terminals 5, 7, 9 and 11 should have continuity to terminal 2.
7. Pull all four switches rearward and hold in that position.
Terminals 4, 6, 8 and 10 should have continuity to terminal 2.
8. Push the lock out switch to its detent position.
Terminal 2 should NOT have continuity with any other terminal.
