Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE: With YFA-1V Carburetor.

NOTE: Diagnostic Procedure: This adjustment is not required as part of a normal engine idle Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) check/adjustment. It should only be performed on a Customer complaint of "Engine continues to Run after ignition key is turned to OFF position."

1. Place the transmission in NEUTRAL or PARK.
2. Bring engine to normal operating temperature.
3. Place A/C selector to OFF position.
4. Disconnect the electrical lead to the Throttle Solenoid Positioner (TSP) or Vacuum Operated Throttle Modulator (VOTM)/TSP. Check engine RPM to specification (700 RPM). If adjustment is required, remove tamper resistant sleeve.

YFA-1V Non-FB TSP-Off Adjustment:

5. Adjust TSP-OFF RPM to specification.
6. Shut engine OFF, reconnect TSP electrical lead.
7. Reinstall new tamper resistant cap.
