NOTE: With YFA-1V Carburetor.

Instructions:

NOTE: "A/C-ON Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)" is non-adjustable "Throttle Solenoid Positioner (TSP)-OFF RPM" is not required.

1. Place the transmission in NEUTRAL or PARK.
2. Bring engine to normal operating temperature.
3. Place A/C-Heat selector in the OFF position.
4. Place transmission in specified position.

YFA-1V Non-FB w/TSP and Idle Tracking Switch-Curb Idle RPM:





YFA-1V Non-FB w/TSP and VOTM-Curb Idle RPM:

5. Check/adjust curb idle RPM. If adjustment is required, remove air cleaner assembly and turn the hex head adjustment at the REAR of the TSP or Vacuum Operated Throttle Modulator (VOTM)/TSP housing, (see illustrations above).
6. Place the transmission in NEUTRAL or PARK. Rev the engine momentarily. Place transmission in specified position and recheck Curb Idle RPM. Readjust if required.
7. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
8. Check/adjust the bowl vent setting as follows:
a. Turn ignition key to the ON position to activate the TSP (engine NOT RUNNING). OPEN throttle so that the TSP plunger EXTENDS.
b. Secure the choke plate in the Wide OPEN position.

YFA-1V FB And Non-FB Bowl Vent Check/Adjust:





c. OPEN throttle so that the throttle vent lever does not touch the bowl vent rod. CLOSE the throttle to the idle set position, and measure the travel of the fuel bowl vent rod from the OPEN throttle position.
d. Travel of the bowl vent rod - Dimension "A" should be within specification (0.100 to 0.150 inches).
e. If out of specification, bend the throttle vent lever at notch, to obtain required travel.
9. Remove all test equipment and reinstall air cleaner assembly. Tighten holddown bolt to specification.
