Fuel Gauge Sender: Description and Operation

The fuel gauge sending unit is similar to the conventional fuel gauge sender except that its resistance ranges from a minimum of 13 ohms at EMPTY to a maximum of 166 ohms at FULL. The resistance produces a voltage at the fuel gauge which transforms this signal to a corresponding indication on the display.
