Water Pump: Description and Operation

The pump has a plastic impeller. The housing bolts directly to the right rear timing belt cover, using a O-ring gasket for pump to cover sealing. The pump is driven by the engine timing belt and serviced as a assembly.

NOTE: The water pump on all models can be replaced without discharging the air conditioning system.
