Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Exploded View Of Wheel Speed Sensor:

REMOVAL
1. Remove splash shield front only.
2. follow removal procedure in the above image.

Removing Rear ABS Rotor:

3. Refer to above image to remove ABS Rotor.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order noting the following.
2. Perform Wheel Speed Sensor output voltage check. Testing and Inspection

Installing Rear ABS Rotor:

3. Refer to the above image for installation of ABS Rotor.

Measuring Distance Between Sensor Installation Surface And ABS Rotor's Toothed Surface:

4. The clearance between the wheel speed sensor and the ABS rotor's toothed surface is not adjustable, but measure the distance between the sensor installation surface and the ABS rotor's toothed surface. The clearance should be 28.2 - 28.5 mm (1.11 - 1.12 inches).
