Inspection Procedure: Code No. 21, 22, 23, 24 Wheel Speed Sensor Excessive Gap Or Short Circuit:

CODE NO. 21, 22, 23, 24 WHEEL SPEED SENSOR EXCESSIVE GAP OR SHORT CIRCUIT
These diagnostic trouble codes are output when the detection speed of the wheel speed sensors is below the standard value.

Probable Cause
- Improper installation of wheel speed sensor
- Malfunction of wheel speed sensor (intermittent open circuit or short circuit)
- Malfunction of ABS rotor (chipped tooth or rotor not installed)
- Noise interference in wheel speed sensor
- Malfunction of ABS-ECU

NOTE:
1. Momentary interruptions within approximately 100 ms are not detected.
2. To inspect the twisted pair wires in the wheel speed sensor, check if there is any damage to the cables, and flex the cables to check for any open circuits.
