Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Exploded View Of Wheel Speed Sensor Front/Rear Components:

REMOVAL
1. Remove splash shield for front sensors only.
2. Follow procedure outlined in the above image.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order with note of the following.
2. Perform Wheel Speed Sensor output voltage check. Testing and Inspection

Measuring Distance Between Sensor Installation Surface And ABS Rotor's Toothed Surface:

3. The clearance between the wheel speed sensor and the ABS rotor's toothed surface is not adjustable, but measure the distance between the sensor installation surface and the ABS rotor's toothed surface. The clearance should be 28.2 - 28.5 mm (1.11 - 1.12 inches).
