G-Sensor Removal And Installation:
REMOVAL
1. Remove radio and tape player.
2. Disconnect connector from G-sensor.
3. Remove 2 mounting bolts.
INSPECTION
1. Connect the special tool (test harness set: MB991348) between the terminals of the disconnected connector.
Measuring G-Sensor Output Voltage With Special Tool:
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and take a reading of the following output voltage. Between terminals (2) and (3) which should be between 2.4 - 2.6 volts.
Measuring G-Sensor Output Voltage W/FRONT Mark On Sensor Facing Down:
3. With the special tool still connected, secure the G-sensor so that the FRONT mark on the sensor mounting surface is facing straight down, and then take a reading of the following output voltage. Between terminals (2) and (3) which should be between 3.3 - 3.7 volts.
4. If the voltage is outside of specification, after checking to be sure that there is no abnormality in the power supply and earth wires, replace the G-sensor.
INSTALLATION
