Intake Manifold Replacement









REMOVAL
1. Relese fuel system pressure. Refer to Powertrain Management.
2. Drain Cooling System.
3. Remove Battery.
4. Follow procedure outlined in illustrations, noting the following.

CAUTION: Cover fuel pipe line with shop towel after relieving pressure as certain pressure may still remain.

5. Relieve pressure in the fuel pipe line to prevent fuel outflow.

CAUTION: Do not drop fuel injector when removing fuel rail.





6. Remove fuel rail with fuel injector and pressure regulator on.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order, noting the following.

CAUTION: Do not let engine oil get into the fuel rail.

2. When connecting the high-pressure fuel hose to the fuel rail, apply a small amount of new engine oil to the hose union, and then insert, being careful not to damage the O-ring.
3. Fill cooling system.
4. Perform accelerator cable adjustment.
