Probable Cause
- Sensor signal circuit grounded
- Throttle sensor sensor failed
- Loss of 5-volt supply

Background
- The voltage of 5 volts is supplied to the TPS. If this voltage is extremely low, the TPS output deviates from standard value,

Range of Check
- Vehicle speed: More than 20 mph
- Engine speed: 1500 r/min or more
- Manifold vacuum: Less than 13 kPa (4 in.Hg)

Set Condition
- The output voltage of TPS is lower than the specified value,
