With Voltmeter





1. Connect an analog voltmeter to the diagnostic output terminal (No. 6 terminal) and the ground terminal (No. 4 or 5 terminal) of the data link connector.

CAUTION: When connecting the voltmeter to the ground terminal (No. 4 or 5 terminal), use the special tool (diagnostic trouble code check harness).

2. Determine the diagnostic output from the voltmeter pointer deflection.
3. Repair the problem location, referring to the diagnostic chart.
