With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

1. Erase memory with scan tool using manufactures instruction manual. After erasing the memory, a command cannot be received from the scan tool. When checking diagnostic trouble codes, momentarily stop and restart the engine and then reactivate the scan tool.
2. Check for diagnostic trouble codes to ensure memory has been replaced.
