With Cruise Control
1. Remove the air cleaner, and the link protector.
2. Ensure that the accelerator cable, throttle cable, and auto-cruise control cable are free of sharp bends, and are routed correctly.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON without starting the engine, and leave it on for approximately 15 seconds.
Accelerator And Throttle Cable Adjustment:
4. Loosen the adjusting nuts A, B, C, and D, and loosen each cable slightly.
Accelerator Cable:
5. Adjust the plate so that when link A is in contact with the stopper, the accelerator inner cable free play will be as listed. Tighten adjusting nut A.
Standard value:
Manual transmission 0-1 mm (0-.04 in)
Automatic transmission 2-3 mm (.08-.12 in)
Throttle Cable:
6. With the end of link B touching the stopper of link A, set the inner throttle cable free play to the listed value, by adjusting bolt B. Secure the throttle cable with the lock nut and adjusting bolt D.
Standard value: 1-2 mm (.04-.08 in)
7. With the end of link C touching the stopper of link B, set the free play of the inner auto-cruise control cable, to the listed value with adjusting nut C. Secure the cruise control cable with the lock nut.
Standard value: 1-2 mm (.04-.08 in)
8. After completing all adjustments, confirm that the throttle plate opens and closes freely with the accelerator pedal.
