Starter Relay: Description and Operation

Starter Relay (Engine Crank Signal)

Relay Location/Identification:





The starter relay sends a signal to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) when the starter motor is engaged. The ECU will then monitor the engine sensors to determine the proper engine timing. The relay is located on the left strut tower. The relay will be identified by an imprint on the relay cover.
