Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove screws and instrument panel lower cover.

Air Duct & Support Bar:

3. Remove screws and support bar, then pull air duct out of the way.

Hold-down Nut For Steering Column Connector:

4. Remove tie straps, loosen hold-down nut in center of steering column connector, and separate steering column connector.
5. Separate headlight pod connector from steering column connector by placing a flat blade screwdriver between the connectors to disengage locking tab.
6. Push on wire side of headlight pod connector and slide connector out of channels of steering column connector.
7. Remove upper and lower retaining screws from pod.

Removing Headlight Pod Back:

8. Gently pull pod wires out through housing enough to expose the two screws and remove screws.
9. Remove rear of pod housing, then gently pull pod forward and pull harness out through housing to remove pod.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
