Preliminary Inspection

1. Road test vehicle, noting any abnormal steering or handling characteristics.
2. Inspect each tire to ensure that tires are the proper size, type, and are correctly inflated.
3. Inspect ball joints, suspension arms, bushings and tie rods, and repair or replace any component that is damaged or excessively worn.
4. Ensure wheel run-out is not excessive, and that wheel bearings are properly adjusted.
5. Bounce vehicle several times to settle suspension, by pushing down on bumper and releasing at the bottom of travel.
6. Place vehicle on suitable alignment rack following manufacturer's instructions.
7. Check and correct alignment angles in the following sequence: Rear toe and camber, caster, front camber and front toe.
8. Correct any angle that is not within specifications. If vehicle cannot be adjusted within specifications, check for damaged or worn suspension components and/or damaged or distorted chassis and correct as needed.
