Sub-Mode 1

HI Mode Diagnostic Chart:

Diagnostic Mode HI has two sub-modes. Sub-Mode 1 checks the accuracy of the ambient air temperature sensor.

When in this sub-mode, the NORM mode indicator will illuminate. The air control module will check the ambient temperature sensor circuit and display the ambient temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. The normal operating range is -40 degrees to 140 degrees. If the circuit is open or shorted to ground, the display will show "?". If the temperature is over 100 degrees, the OFF indicator segment will also illuminate.

Enter Sub-Mode 2 by pressing the select switch right arrow once.
