Entering On-Board Diagnostics

To enter the On-Board Diagnostics,
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (the engine may be either running or not running),
2. Place the system in any air conditioning mode [1].
3. Pick a diagnostic level. A diagnostic level may be chosen by using the blower switch. The level is indicated on the blower speed display. If no diagnostic level is chosen, the diagnostics will automatically begin at the LO level.
4. Simultaneously press and hold:
- Blower speed switch UP arrow
- Select switch Left arrow
- Front defrost switch.
After 3 seconds, all indicator bulbs will illuminate as a bulb check and to indicate that diagnostics have begun. When the bulbs illuminate, release the switches.
While in a diagnostic mode, the air distribution system will continue to operate at the conditions it was operating at before diagnostics were entered.
While in diagnostic mode, a different diagnostic level may be selected by using the blower switch.
