1988 MEDALLION PASSENGER CARS
^ The attached dealer instructions are a follow-up to the letter from G.J. Giocondi dated January, 1988, "Re-launch of Medallion and Customer Satisfaction Notification". Dealers were requested to repair cars in dealer stock before retail sale.

^ For any vehicles in dealer stock which have not yet been repaired, follow the enclosed Service Procedure instructions to complete the service no later than April 30.

^ Notifications to owners of sold cars will be mailed the week of March 14. Owners are being requested to contact Jeep/Eagle dealers for completion of the required service by June 15.

^ Multiple service corrections are involved. Some may already have been completed through prior bulletins, other communications to dealers or the letter referenced above. Follow the attached instructions carefully to ensure that all needed service is completed without duplication of repairs.

^ Five individual repairs are specified for this program. Several may apply to the same car. All repairs should be completed during the same appointment for customer convenience.

^ The enclosed VIN listing of involved vehicies indicates which of the corrections are required for each vehicle by number. Numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5 in the column marked CAMPAIGN or CAMP NO. refer to Service Numbers 8801, 8802, 8803, 8804 and 8805, respectively.

^ No replacement parts will be supplied directly to dealers for this program. Adequate quantities of the required parts are available and can be ordered by normal procedures.

^ When an owner calls for this service, schedule a service appointment that allows ample time for parts delivery, then order the necessary parts. (Check your VIN listing to determine which corrections are required and order parts accordingly.)

^ The Service Numbers printed on the dealer Vehicle Lists are also printed beside the VIN on each owner notification lefter. Owners are requested to give the letters to dealers at the time of service for convenient reference.
