Cylinder Head Assembly

CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY






Using the sequence below, tighten the retaining bolts.
Tighten bolts 1-10 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 11-15 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
Verify bolts 11-15 are 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
Tighten bolts 1-10 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
Rotate bolts 1-10 an additional 90 degrees.
Tighten bolts 11-15 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).






CAUTION: Pushrods and rocker arm assemblies must be installed in their original locations or engine damage could result.






WARPAGE

If tolerances exceed 0.0508 mm (0.002 in.) replace the cylinder head.






CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP

Tighten camshaft thrust plate retaining bolts 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.)
