Timing Chain Tensioner: Service and Repair

STANDARD PROCEDURE - RESETTING TENSIONER

Special Tools:











NOTE: Verify that the tensioner is assembled correctly.

1. Install the washer (1), spring (2), and plunger (3) inside the tensioner body (4).





2. Squeeze the the tensioner body (3) and movable guide shoe (2) together and install Tensioner Pin (1).
