Heater Core - Description

DESCRIPTION





The heater core (1) is a heat exchanger made of rows of tubes and fins. The heater core is positioned within the HVAC housing behind the instrument panel. The heater core tubes (2) are secured to the top of the HVAC housing by a bracket (3) and retaining screw. The heater core tubes are integral to the heater core and cannot be serviced separately.

The heater core is serviced by removing the HVAC housing assembly from the vehicle.
