Instrument Panel Cover - Removal






REMOVAL

WARNING: Follow all Warnings for airbag component service Service Precautions .

1. Open deck lid.
2. Remove four bolts to battery compartment cover and remove cover.
3. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
4. Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag system or instrument panel component service.
5. Remove the instrument panel. Instrument Panel - Removal
6. Remove four screws and two electrical connectors to the instrument cluster and remove from panel.
7. Remove five screws and two electrical connectors to the instrument cluster gauge pack and remove from panel.
8. Remove two screws and one electrical connector to remote keyless entry module and remove from panel.
9. Remove two screws and one electrical connector to low tire pressure module and remove from panel.
10. Remove the right lower instrument panel trim. Instrument Panel Lower Right Trim Panel - Removal
11. Remove twelve screws, two bolts, and one electrical connector to instrument panel cover/pad and remove from instrument panel reinforcement.
