HORN FAILS TO SOUND WHEN ALARM IS TRIPPED

1. HORN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT DTC ACTIVE

NOTE: Check for any TSBs that may apply before continuing with this test.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.

Does the scan tool display a HORN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT DTC active?

Yes

- Diagnose and repair the DTC(s).
- Perform the VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. VTSS Verification Test

No

- Go To 2

2. HORN CIRCUIT DIAGNOSTICS

Does the horn operate from the horn button?

Yes

- Replace and program the Body Control Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- Refer to Horns Inoperative under Horn - Electrical Diagnostics category. Horns Inoperative
- Perform the VTSS VERIFICATION TEST. VTSS Verification Test
