1B Driver Door Lock Switch Stuck






1B-DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH STUCK







- When Monitored:
At all times when battery power is supplied to the Body Control Module.

- Set Condition:
When the BCM senses a lock or unlock input on the Driver Door Switch Mux circuit for over 10 seconds, this code will set.





1. DTC PRESENT
1. When this code is present, the VTSS indicator will stay on solid during the arming process.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Cycle the ignition switch from ON to OFF to ON.
4. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
5. Lower the driver door window.
6. Remove the key and operate the Driver Door Lock/Unlock Switch several times while monitoring the scan tool.
7. Wait 10 seconds.

Does the scan tool display 1B-DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH STUCK?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Check the switch for a binding condition and replace if necessary. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED




1. Disconnect the Driver Door Lock Switch connector.
2. With the scan tool in Sensors, read the DRV DOOR ENTRY voltage.

Is the voltage above 4.75 volts?

No

- Go To 3

Yes

- Replace the Driver Door Lock Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

3. (P97) DRIVER DOOR SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Body Control Module C3 and C4 connectors.
3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P97) Driver Door Switch Mux circuit in the BCM C3 connector.

Is the resistance below 10,000.0 (10K) ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P97) Driver Door Switch Mux circuit for a partial short to ground
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Go To 4

4. (P97) DRIVER DOOR SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO THE (P901) DRIVER DOOR SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT




1. Measure the resistance between the (P97) Driver Door Switch Mux circuit and the (P901) Driver Door Switch Return circuit in the BCM C2 and C3 connectors.

Is the resistance below 10,000 (10K) ohms?

Yes

- Repair the (P97) Driver Door Switch Mux circuit for a short to the (P901) Driver Door Switch Return circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
