04 ORC Messages Not Received

04-ORC MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED



- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition in run.

- Set Condition:
The BCM does not receive any messages from the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) Module.





1. ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE ORC MODULE
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, select ECU View.
3. Verify that the ORC is active on the bus.

Is the ORC active on the bus?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the No Response diagnostic procedure. Communications - Verbose Codes

2. CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUNICATION RELATED DTC'S
1. With the scan tool, select Network View and select Advanced.

Is there more than one module with active DTCs "Logged Against" the ORC?

Yes

- Replace/update the ORC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test

No

- Replace/update the module that set this DTC.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test
