B2714-FLEX MAT SENSOR MISMATCH

Theory of Operation

When powered, the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) compares the Flex Mat cell configuration to the OCM stored Flex Mat cell configuration.

- When Monitored:
When powered, the Occupant Classification Module (OCM) compares the Flex Mat cell configuration to the Flex Mat cell configuration stored in the OCM memory.

- Set Condition:
This DTC sets if the OCM Flex Mat configuration does not match the Flex Mat connected to the module.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Restraints System Pre-Diagnostic Procedure.
VERIFY COMPLAINT

NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read the active OCM DTC.

Does the Scan Tool report the ACTIVE: B2714-FLEX MAT SENSOR MISMATCH?

Yes

- WARNING: Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

- Replace the Flex Mat Service Kit.
- Perform the OCM REZERO. Testing and Inspection.

No

- Test Complete.
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Restraints System Verification Test
