FRONT WINDOW MOVES ABOUT 3 INCHES AND QUITS

1. TEST FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any Power Window related DTCs?

No

- Go To 2

Yes

- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure related to power windows.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

2. WINDOW HALL SENSOR A AND SENSOR B SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
1. Disconnect the appropriate Door Module C2 Connector.
2. Disconnect the appropriate Window Motor connector.
3. Measure the resistance of the Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit between the Motor connector and the Module C2 connector (see schematic for connector cavity numbers).
4. Measure the resistance of the Window Hall Sensor B Signal circuit between the Motor connector and the Door Module C2 connector.

Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms on both Signal circuits?

No

- Repair the Window Hall Sensor Signal circuit(s) for opens.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

Yes

- Replace the Window Motor.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.
