CLUTCH SYSTEM BLEED

Determine if master cylinder requires bleeding or if the complete system requires bleeding.

1. Uncouple clutch master cylinder line from the clutch slave cylinder with Line Disconnect 6638A.
2. Slowly depress the clutch pedal.
a. If pedal feels hard in a short distance, air is present in the clutch slave cylinder.
b. If pedal feels spongy air is present in the master cylinder.

NOTE: Do not apply too much force as this will cause the uncoupled male coupling to blow out.

LINKAGE BLEED





1. Check fluid level, if level is not up to the step in the reservoir add D.O.T. 4 brake fluid.

CAUTION: Use only D.O.T. 4 brake fluid. Other fluids are not compatible.

2. Slowly depressing clutch pedal while opening the clutch slave cylinder bleed screw (2).
3. Holding clutch pedal down then close bleed screw.
4. Repeat two times then check fluid level in reservoir.
5. Pump clutch pedal rapidly a minimum of 10 times. If pedal still feels spongy repeat procedure.

MASTER CYLINDER BLEED

1. Uncouple clutch master cylinder line from the clutch slave cylinder with Line Disconnect 6638A.
2. Check fluid level, if level is not up to the step in the reservoir add D.O.T. 4 brake fluid.

CAUTION: Use only D.O.T. 4 brake fluid. Other fluids are not compatible.

3. Open male quick connect coupling, by depressing poppet in the coupling while depress the clutch pedal to the floor.
4. Close quick connect coupling by releasing poppet while holding the clutch pedal to the floor.
5. Release the pedal.
6. Repeat two times then check fluid level in reservoir.
7. Couple system back together.
8. Pump clutch pedal rapidly a minimum of 10 times. If pedal still feels spongy repeat procedure.
