MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH
FLASHER DIAGNOSIS
Should any function of the multi-function switch fail, the entire switch assembly must be replaced Multifunction Switch - Removal.

SWITCH DIAGNOSIS
To test the switch:
1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
3. Disconnect the multi-function switch connector.
4. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
5. Disconnect the combo flasher from the multi-function switch assembly.
Using an ohmmeter, test for continuity between the terminals of the switch as shown in the MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST and MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH DIMMER CONTROL RESISTANCE test tables for diagnosis.
NOTE: If the ohmmeter shows resistance values greater then 1000 ohms, then the multi-function switch is considered defective and must be replaced.
