A/C Pressure Transducer - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Replacement of the O-ring seal is required anytime the A/C pressure transducer is removed. Failure to replace the rubber O-ring seal may result in a refrigerant system leak.





1. Lubricate a new O-ring seal with clean refrigerant oil and install it onto the discharge line fitting. Use only the specified O-ring as it is made of a special material for the R-134a system. Use only refrigerant oil of the type recommended for the A/C compressor in the vehicle.
2. Install the A/C pressure transducer (2) onto the A/C discharge line (1). Tighten the transducer securely.
3. Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the A/C pressure transducer.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
