Fuel Rail: Description and Operation
OPERATION
The fuel supply line is connected to the fuel rail by a quick connect fitting that is located on the left side of the motor. Fuel enters the left side fuel rail then supplies the right side fuel rail by a rubber fuel hose. There are five fuel injectors attached to each of the fuel rails. Rubber O-rings seal the fuel injectors to the fuel rails and engine. Fuel rail mounting brackets and bolts secured the right and left fuel rails and injectors to the engine. The fuel system operates at approximately 400 kpa ±34 kpa (58 psi ± 5 psi).
