PISTON FITTING
All pistons are machined to the same weight in grams, to maintain piston balance.
Piston and cylinder wall must be clean and dry. Piston diameter (1) should be measured 90 degrees to piston pin axis, 10 mm (0.393 in.) above bottom of the piston skirt (2) as shown.
NOTE: Pistons and cylinder bores should be measured at normal room temperature, 70°F (21°C).
Cylinder bores should be measured halfway down or below the deck surface (3) with a dial bore gauge (1). The cylinder bore (2) should be measured and perpendicular (B) to the engine crankshaft center line (A) as shown.
