Liftgate - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Open liftgate.
2. Remove driver side B-pillar trim.Pillar Trim





3. Disconnect liftgate harness clip.
4. Disconnect liftgate harness and defrost connectors.





5. Scribe or mark liftgate nuts on sport bar bracket.
6. Support liftgate using a suitable support device.





7. Remove gas prop support cylinders using a small flat bladed tool, or equivalent, release the upper retaining clips while pulling the ball socket away from the ball stud. Gas Prop - Removal
8. Remove liftgate nuts.
9. With help from an assistant, remove liftgate.
10. Disconnect defroster connectors and courtesy harness.
