NO CLUSTER MESSAGE





For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information Electrical Diagrams.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
The Instrument Cluster broadcasts the airbag warning indicator status on the Bus. The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) expects this status message once every second. The ORC will set this DTC if the status message is not received for 10 consecutive seconds.





Always perform the Pre-Diagnostic Troubleshooting procedure before proceeding. Restraints System Pre-Diagnostic Procedure.

1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC

NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged.

1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read the ORC DTC.

Does the scan tool display an active: NO CLUSTER MESSAGE DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Restraints System Intermittent Test.

2. VERIFY THAT THE CLUSTER IS ACTIVE ON THE BUS
1. With the scan tool, attempt to communicate with the Cluster.

Will the scan tool communicate with the Cluster?

Yes

- WARNING: If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and serious or fatal injury.
WARNING: Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

- Replace the ORC.
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Restraints System Verification Test.

No

- Perform the NO RESPONSE FROM CLUSTER/CCN procedure. No Response From CCN (Cluster).
